Therapeutic Approach

The CBLG Residential program serves children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities who require intensive behavioral support due to significant problem behaviors. Each child receives an individualized behavior plan written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, designed to enhance their safety while reducing challenging behaviors and promoting skill development. The program emphasizes increasing the child’s access to their community and creating opportunities for learning in natural, real-world environments. Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, the program aims to decrease problematic behaviors, foster functional skills, and improve the child’s independence, with the ultimate goal of transitioning children back to home or less restrictive settings where they can continue to grow and thrive.

Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy

Children residing in CBLG Residential homes receive daily Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which helps them develop essential skills and manage behaviors. As they progress, they can work toward returning to school and reintegrating into family life.

Comprehensive Approach

In addition to ABA therapy, we collaborate with partner agencies who provide a comprehensive range of services including: Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Individual Counseling, Play Therapy, Music Therapy, Mentorship Programs, and Wraparound Services.

Collaboration and Caregiver Support

High-Fidelity Wraparound Services

Our High-Fidelity Wraparound Services empower youth and their families by providing the tools, resources, and ongoing support they need to succeed. The approach ensures families can thrive both during and after formal services have ended, with strengthened skills and a sustainable support network.

CBLG Wraparound Services (CHRP Waiver Only)

At Colorado Behavior and Learning Group (CBLG), we provide High-Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) services under the CHRP Waiver. HFW is an intensive, team-based, and family-centered approach designed to support youth and families with complex needs. While CBLG specializes in serving those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, we also provide Wraparound support across needs and diagnoses. Through HFW, families work with their natural supports (family members, friends & neighbors, community members, etc.), professional team, and community resources to create personalized, community-based plans that foster positive outcomes and long-term stability.

What It Is

  • Intensive, Team-Based Care
A dedicated team of professionals, family members, and natural supports collaborate to design and implement a comprehensive support plan.

  • Family-Centered Approach
The family’s voice, choices, and identified needs are prioritized, ensuring they remain at the center of all decision-making.

  • Person-Centered
Plans are tailored to the unique goals and needs of each youth and family, promoting individualized care.

  • Designed for Complex Needs
HFW is especially suited for families involved with multiple systems, such as mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, and special education.

  • Evidence-Based
The model incorporates proven, research-driven practices to ensure effective outcomes.

    • Focus is on building the family’s capacity to respond effectively.

  • Individualized & Strengths-Based Planning

    • The team actively works the plan, monitoring progress and adapting as needed.

    • Families receive both professional and natural supports to ensure consistency and sustainability.

  • Transition & Sustainability

    • The goal is for families to manage independently with their own network of supports.

  • Family Vision & Goal Setting
